Active GPS electronic monitoring enhances adherence to protective
orders
The Virginia legislature has passed a bill allowing judges to require the respondents of protective orders and defendants in domestic abuse cases to wear GPS electronic monitoring equipment. These individuals would be under supervised release prior to trial or while free from incarceration after conviction. Our GPS Electronic Monitoring services fit these requirements to the letter and in particular with regard to cases involving protective orders. We are already providing services for protective order enforcement and supervision in Virginia. In this program, the judge is placing individuals that would otherwise have no bond on electronic monitoring, paid by the offender, from the arraignment date to the hearing date. The victim’s work and home address are programmed into the system as “exclusion zones” and local law enforcement is notified directly when those zones are entered.
We would like the opportunity to provide this effective tool to your court. The service is affordable, accurate, and will enhance your ability to monitor these cases between arrest and trial, or on a post-disposition case.
Comprehensive Monitoring Solutions can help your court provide this program to enhance supervision in domestic violence cases.
